Jose “Joe” Berrios brings four decades of experience as an educator to his first term on the Victor Valley Union High School District Board of Trustees, serving as Clerk. Berrios taught physical education, health, reading and independent study in the district for 37 years. He also spent years as a football and wrestling coach, serving as an assistant coach on the 1987 state championship Victor Valley High wrestling team. A 38-year resident of the area, he served as the Victor Valley Teachers Association president for five years. ______________ Barbara Dew Barbara Dew is a 55-year resident of the Victor Valley and 1966 Victor Valley High School graduate who has long been an involved member of her community. She has been an elementary school teacher for more than 30 years in addition to her long service with legislative agencies at the county and state levels. She currently serves as Vice President of the Victor Valley Union High School District Board of Trustees after winning reelection in 2016. _______________ Edmiston Penny Edmiston is a 28-year resident of the Victor Valley, coming to the area not long after graduating from Arizona State University. She has dedicated her life to education as a longtime elementary school teacher, teaching grades 3-6 in the Victor Elementary School District. She joined the Victor Valley Union High School District Board of Trustees in 2014 and served a stint as Board President during her term. _________________ Timothy_G_Hauk
Timothy Hauk served as a teacher in the Victor Valley Union High School District for 21 years before retiring in 2011. He has served on the VVUHSD Board of Trustees since 2012. He has long been an active citizen in the Victor Valley, including stints with the Hesperia Unified School District Board of Trustees (two terms), the Hesperia Planning Commission, the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing and the Victor Elementary School District Board of Trustees. ___________________
Norton
Timothy Norton, a West Point graduate and retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel, is currently the Victor Valley Union High School District Board President. Norton, who commanded troops in combat during Operation Desert Storm, currently works in leadership training as a civilian contractor for the Army. He has lived in the VVUHSD area for 13 years and was elected to the board in 2014.
