A Victor Valley Union High School District classified employee is enjoying a new TV this week after the It’s a Gas to Support Class contest at the High Desert Events Center.
Gail Cich, the principal’s administrative assistant at Cobalt Institute of Math and Science, was awarded a 60-inch LG smart TV at last Thursday’s event.
Though none of VVUHSD’s employees won a car (the grand prize), Cich went home a winner along with fellow classified employees Peggy Sanchez of Hook Junior High and Pam Fernandez of Food Service, who each took home $50 gift cards.
Selected classified employees from districts around the High Desert who had perfect attendance throughout the school year received tickets to attend the event, hosted by Victorville Motors and other local sponsors.
Cich, whose family has been in the Victor Valley for three generations, is a 1976 graduate of Victor Valley High School. She will be retiring this year after nearly 14 years in the district.
