District responds to 'clowning' social media post
Posted on 10/04/2016
The Victor Valley Union High School District is aware of a social media post containing a supposed threat against Victor Valley High School. The post appears to be related to “clowning,” a recent nationwide phenomenon involving individuals who dress up as “creepy clowns” in an effort to scare the public and disrupt schools. The individuals claimed they would be at Victor Valley High on Wednesday, Oct. 5. VVHS school security and other staff members were notified about the post before school began, and the school day proceeded without incident. Local authorities have been notified about the post and are collaborating with the district to ensure the safety of our staff and students.
