District wins governance award

VVUHSD earns CMGA Governance Award

SACRAMENTO — The Victor Valley Union High School District governance team has once again been recognized by the California Middle Grades Alliance for outstanding leadership.

The VVUHSD Board of Trustees and Superintendent Dr. Ron Williams were nominated for the CMGA's Governance Award by Hook Junior High School Principal Carlos Cerna and Lakeview Leadership Academy Principal Kent Crosby, and VVUHSD won the award for the fifth straight year.

District representatives attended an award ceremony in Sacramento, where they were presented the award by state Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond.  

Congratulations to Dr. Williams and to Trustees Jose Berrios, Barbara Dew, Penny Edmiston and Joshua Garcia for receiving this prestigious honor!
