Victor Valley Union High School District Superintendent Dr. Ron Williams was recently selected as Superintendent of the Year by the California Association of African American Superintendents and Administrators.

Dr. Williams was selected by a panel of educators for his exceptional talents and unwavering commitment to district stakeholders. He has sought to improve educational outcomes for all students during a decades-long career as an educator. He received the award at CAAASA’s 2019 Excellence in Education awards ceremony on March 27 in Garden Grove.

Dr. Williams has been the superintendent of VVUHSD since 2014, and during that time the district has seen its enrollment rise from less than 9,000 students to more than 10,000. The district serves a diverse population of students in grades 7-12 at eight schools in Victorville and Adelanto.
