New Asst Superintendent of Student Learning

Congratulations to Mr. Tracy Marsh who was unanimously approved by the Board of Trustees on May 20th to serve as our new Assistant Superintendent of Student Learning. Tracy’s background includes a wide range of experience as an educator and administrator in California. He is currently serving as principal of Sultana High School and was the former Silverado High School principal. Working within the public and private sectors has provided him with a broad understanding of educational leadership. Mr. Marsh’s experience includes classroom teaching as well as administrative experience at the high school level. He holds a master’s degree from Bellevue University and has served as an adjunct professor at Chapman University. Mr. Marsh is known as an “out of the box” thinker who works collaboratively with all stakeholders in order to generate a constructive and successful learning climate. Throughout his career, Mr. Marsh has been a determined advocate for children. He has received numerous accolades for his commitment to the development of academic programs while incorporating technology to support educational school-wide goals. Mr. Marsh is committed to raising the quality of education through comprehensive and sustained reform. He has planned, directed, and guided all aspects of a school site. In addition, he has worked in the implementation of nationally recognized educational programs, and has extensive knowledge in business, personnel, as well as curriculum and instruction. These experiences have provided Mr. Marsh the opportunity to offer innovative ideas to the challenges of today’s educational environment for students. As an established High Desert resident, Mr. Marsh is vested in the success of his community. His belief that the school’s mission is ultimately measured in the success of the community from which the students come is not only a benefit to the district, but to the entire Victor Valley community. Mr. Marsh will begin his assignment on July 1st and will be formally recognized at the June 10th board meeting.
