 Shawn Butters

Director of Facilities

Shawn Butters joined Victor Valley Union High School District in July 1998, coming from 6 years with Chaffey Joint Union High School District and 4 years at Upland Unified School District. Mr. Butters experience spans from years of experience in the private sector as a Real Estate Developer, General Contractor and in various positions of school business operations. His experience working with the Victor Valley Communities is enhanced through service as a member of California Association of School Business Officials (CASBO) and the Coalition for Adequate School Housing (CASH). Mr. Butters has been a presenter for several workshops through CASH over the past decade and has been a mentor and professional resource through the Cal State San Bernardino School Business Academy. Mr. Butters has served on the Community Advisory Boards and Board of Trustees for two Charter Schools in the High Desert area. Mr. Butters is a father of two daughters and three sons, and a husband to Karen, a Counseling Technician at Serrano High School. Shawn is enjoying the challenges of a growing district, and is looking forward to creating systems and providing leadership to assist Victor Valley Union High School District to become the standard by which others will be judged.
