Advanced Placement is a program created by the College Board which offers college-level curricula and examinations to high school students. These are highly rigorous courses and we encourage every student to enroll in at least one AP course in grades 10-12. American colleges and universities may grant placement and course credit to students who obtain high scores on the examinations. Each of the VVUHSD high schools offer several AP courses. Please check with your counselor for more information.
Career Technical Education (CTE):
Career Technical Education. (CTE) courses are offered at each high school and is designed as a program of study in which students progress through introductory, intermediate, and capstone courses. Students develop academic and industry-specific skills that prepare them for related certification exams and help them earn the industry credentials employers are seeking. All CTE courses are A-G approved. Click here for more information.
Dual Enrollment – CCAP and Non-CCAP:
Dual Enrollment offers high school students the opportunity to enroll in VVC courses and receive college credit while pursuing their high school diploma. Dual Enrollment is divided into two areas: CCAP and Non-CCAP (formerly Concurrent Enrollment).
