My new account is not active yet?
Staff -
Please check with your front office or management for the login credentials. Note that accounts take ~24hrs to process after HR has submitted the request for a new employee. Those credentials (Windows and Google) will then be emailed over to the school site Admin team.
Students -
Please check with your school site CMS(Computer Media Specialist) or classroom teacher. Note that accounts take ~24hrs to process after the CEC(Enrollment) and school counselors have activated the student. Those credentials(Windows and Google) will then be available.
Chromebooks: How do I clear the local cache?
Many issues (with logins, accounts and the various software/programs) can arise when the Chromebook cache has become full of temporary files. Clearing the Chromebook cache will resolve most of these issues.
Chromebooks and Chrome Browser(Desktops):
- Tap the three dots in the top-right corner of the screen, hover over “More Tools” and then select “Clear browsing data”
- Check the boxes next to Browsing History, Cookies, and Cached Images and Files.*
- Click Clear Data
* Note: Time range should be set to “All Time”
How Does a Student Checkout a Chromebook?
There are 2 mandatory requirements for Chromebook Checkouts and at-home use:
1) Complete all 4 KnowBe4 Digital Citizenship(AUP) Modules
Login credentials sent to the Student email after enrollment
Missing the KnowBe4 email - Click Here
Students - View Directions for Completion and Instructions Here
2) Complete the Chromebook Request Form
Click here to view and submit the form
Please note: this form can only be completed while logged into Google with either a Student(vvstu.org) account or a Staff(vvuhsd.org) account email.
*Once these are completed and verified, please check with the front office and the School Site's Computer Media Specialist for checkout
**Note: Parents/Students will need to verify that they do not already have a Chromebook checked out from VVUHSD during Distance Learning
