Coaching and Athletic Resources
All coaches, whether stipend or volunteer, MUST complete the following prior to working with students as a coach:
- School Site application for coaching: must be signed by the Athletic Director and Principal and then sent to the District Office for further processing
- Volunteer Coach Packet or Walk On or Stipend Coach Packet - Please note that if you are to be a stipend coach, the site will need to submit a Personnel Action Request (PAR) in order to be Board Approved as a paid coach and cannot coach or attend practices until Board Approval
- Athletic Coaching Agreement
- Athletic Coach Information Sheet
- Fingerprinting through the District office (will only be given the form for fingerprinting once site application documents have been received by the school)
- CPR and First Aid required; Lifeguarding certificate if working with water sports
- Tuberculin Skin Test Results (PPD) - or other test to show free of TB
- District Coaching Packet (to be completed once Livescan/fingerprinting has been finished)
- Copy of Driver's License and Social Security Card OR Passport is required
- Keenan Safeschools Training (will be emailed directions for completing/renewing):
- Mandated Reporting
- Sexual Harassment
- Blood borne Pathogens
Once all of these requirements have been completed, you will be badged for the sport in which you were approved. You must obtain your badge at the District Office. You will be required to wear your badge at all times when coaching. If you are not completely cleared as a coach, you may not be on the court or field for practice or games, and you will not be paid for any unauthorized work completed.
